Mama’s Monday Musings – March 21st Edition

I have a TON of exciting posts coming up for the remainder of this month and on into April. The hamster on its wheel in my brain has been running overtime! Be sure to stay tuned!

Tiny is finally over her illness and thanks to my FAVORITE homeopathic remedy, I managed to stave it off. I felt myself getting sick on Thursday but after a few doses of Cold Calm, all signs of illness had vanished. I love that stuff!

My middle toe on my left foot is pretty darn broken. The toes next to it are going to survive but I am not sure about this middle toe. It is getting worse and now it makes a weird grinding motion accompanied by a clicking sound. I’m thinking I might need to make a visit to the doctor. Uggg!

On Saturday, Tiny started calling me “mommy.” I’m not sure how I feel about this. Mama was so sweet and innocent and mommy seems more mature and worldly. It reminds me that my baby is growing up. I really wanted to hold onto being “mama” for a while longer. I told Tiny that I was still mama and she said, “no mommy.” Ha!

I have some really, really amazing recipes to share with you all real soon! I’m trying to figure out how to best work my recipe section in blogger. I want to make it user friendly before I start firing off recipes at you. Anyone know how to turn a new tab in blogger into something akin to the post page? I don’t want to end up with a super long recipe page.

My inlaws will be visiting this week which is always interesting. Yeah, interesting. That’s what I’ll call it!

Allright – those are just a few of my mutterings today. Watch for tomorrow’s post! It’s a pretty thought provoking one.

Blessings,
Jennifer

  1. I always look forward to your insights!

  2. Did I miss the post on how you broke (plural) toes? I’m sure that is super painful!
K has called me Mommy- and I love it. Her g’ma is Mamas- but she also calls me Mama too. It’s the best title yet!

I can’t wait to read upcoming posts. Your natural parenting style is interesting. I’m envious in ways- I never considered that there were different ways to parent. And then there is just wrong ways to approach it: like a lady that I saw last weekend with a screaming banshee 4 y/o hitting her and just telling her to have “nice hands” was not something that I can say I respected. Your style, yes, very much so.
Thanks for all of your support! ( :

  3. So funny about being called Mommy! That does sound more mature or something than Mama ;-)

Hope your toe is better asap!
