One of my favorite shops on Etsy is Rural Toy Shoppe, This great store is owned by Jerry, a brilliant woodworker. I saw his adorable doll bed and high chair and knew it was what Tiny needed. Well, one thing led to another and I commissioned him into making a doll carriage, a play kitchen, and a matching toy storage cube. Clearly I think very highly of his work! I have been more than pleased with all of the items I have purchased. They are amazingly beautiful and have all become treasured and well-loved additions to Tiny’s playspaces.
Jerry takes a lot of time with his pieces. You can see it in the craftsmanship. There is attention to detail and lots of little “extras” that come together into really nice handcrafted, wood items. Jerry makes everything from doll furniture and accessories, to serving bowls, to cutting boards, to benches and stools, to all different kinds of custom items. He primarily offers his wares at festivals and craftshows but does offer several items on Etsy. His prices are honestly the best around. His wood choices are excellent. Shipping is fast and everything I have ordered has arrived safe and sound.
