Giveaway: Plan It Don’t Panic Ebook from Keeper of the Home (Ends 03/04)

Keeper of the Home is one of my favorite websites/blogs. I get giddy when there is a new post in my reader. Stephanie Langford, the brilliant mind behind Keeper of the Home, is passionate about nutrition, natural living, and alternative health issues. Her blog posts are always insightful and full of great information that even the newbie can understand. In addition, she writes some pretty amazing Ebooks. Healthy Homemaking and Real Foods on a Real Budget have hands down been two of my favorite Ebooks. In fact, I wrote about Real Foods on a Real Budget previously. Feel free to check out my thoughts.

Today I would like to bring Stephanie’s newest book to your attention. Plan It Don’t Panic: A Complete Meal Resource is an 82 page Ebook that every home needs. Whether you never cook at home, try to cook healthy meals but get overwhelmed, are interested in meal planning, or already consider yourself a pro, this book will help you!

What if you could learn to meal plan in a way that helped you to eat better, while saving you money, time and stress? With Plan It Don’t Panic you can!

Here is what Stephanie’s book will aid you in doing:

·         Find the method of meal planning that will suit you and your family best;

·         Tweak and perfect your meal planning style with unique tips and strategies;

·         Make it easier to work around special/restrictive dietary needs;

·         Become a grocery-shopping ninja and never go to the store without a genius plan in place for maximizing your money;

·         Learn how leftovers can become your best friends in the kitchen;

·         As well as how to store your recipes, easily find your favorites, plan for hectic times, and even what to do when you mess up.

Not enough to entice you to get this book pronto? Plan It Don’t Panic also offers you four weeks of real, whole food meal plans, complete with breakfast/lunch/dinner and recipe links. There are eleven printable planning pages including 3 different weekly planners, 3 monthly planners, a seasonal menu planner, grocery shopping checklist, pantry and freezer inventories, and a freezer cooking/baking day planning page. Seriously! This is a really valuable book!

I am no stranger to meal planning as you all know. I have been doing it for a couple of years now, making tweaks along the way. I feel like I have a pretty good system in place so I did not think that Stephanie’s Ebook would offer me that much. Well, I was wrong.

Stephanie took the time to outline four types of meal planning – weekly planning, two week planning, monthly planning, and monthly freezer cooking. She provides detailed pros and cons of each type of meal planning. I have always done monthly meal planning but honestly after reading her pros and cons, I think that weekly or every two weeks is really the way to go for me. She opened my eyes to some of the stresses I was experiencing trying to make a monthly plan work.

I also was really inspired by the section “Using Leftovers To Reduce Waste and Save Even More.” I typically just eat all the leftovers because I hate wasting food. Stephanie had some really great suggestions about leftovers and how to creatively repurpose them!

I stay away from the microwave but for those of your microwave lovers, Stephanie also has some great tips on heating up leftovers without using the microwave. This keeps all the nutritional value of the food without compromising taste or texture.

Plan It Don’t Panic is well written, very easy to follow along with, insightful, full of little nuggets of information that you will love, and great for both the novice meal planner and the near professional meal planner. I guarantee that you will love it!

Guess what? Stephanie is generously giving away a copy of Plan It Don’t Panic to one lucky reader!

    ” Every aspect of meal planning is covered and the information is presented in a way that removes the overwhelm for those new to meal planning while still proving valuable to those more experienced meal planners.”
    This is exactly why I need this. The overwhelm takes over and I end up with nothing planned out and so many groceries in the fridge that I’m not sure what to even make.
    oooooo I so need this!

  10. Well, she said this: Find the method of meal planning that will suit you and your family best…which I like. And you said this: I have been doing it for a couple of years now, making tweaks along the way. So I think this qualifies? (Anyway, the tweaking is what intrigues me.)
