I have been getting emails right and left asking me to hurry up and post another Baby Sean update along with some more photos. Ask and you shall receive!
I thought it best to give you an update straight from Mama Caroline. So here you are!
July 3rd….No more pic line (catheter)! YAY!!! No more IV fluids only breast milk, mixed with a little protein to help him grow. Sean is 2lbs 10oz. I held him today for 2 1/2 hrs, loved every minute….and Tony got to kiss baby for the first time today, he was so excited, almost like a kid in a candy store for the first time….Dr. says he is doing great and we just need to sit tight and let him grow. The liver Dr. came in also and said he is pooping everyday, so there is no major medical problem with his liver. HOW AWESOME IS THAT! (This is me, Jennifer, shouting!)
July 5th…Baby Sean is doing good everyday. His red blood cells are still low, so instead of another blood transfusion, they are giving him a 3 day medication to see if he can make them on his own. He is still a little anemic, so he is getting an increase on iron meds. Other than that he is doing great, loves being on mommy, as I love having him on me. I can’t wait until he gets bigger so I can bring him home and never put him down….Love my tiny lil man so much….
THAT MELTS MY HEART! (This is me, Jennifer, shouting again!)
Baby Sean is so loved and he knows it. He won’t let go of Caroline’s hand willingly so often times Caroline and Tony stay late into the night until Sean falls asleep and finally releases his grip. His brothers and sisters adore him and he in turn stares lovingly at them.
Rasta Daddy, Tiny and I all got to have a nice visit with the entire family and I presented them with the first $1,200 that you all helped raise! Caroline cried huge tears of joy and could not put into words how grateful she is. The whole family is humbled by the out pouring of support.
Since we saw each other last week, another $150 has been donated which is wonderful! In addition to that, I have received the first two cloth diaper/cloth accessory donation shipments! A huge thank you to Lovely Pocket Diapers and Little Love Buns both run by very generous and sweet mamas! After seeing their wares, I almost want another baby so I can cloth diaper again! It is darn addicting!
Stay tuned for a special post later this month with all the info on our very generous cloth diaper and cloth diaper accessory donors! And be sure to check out my sidebar on my blog. I have a special section dedicated to the companies who have donated cloth to Baby Sean!
Also, I contacted Project Sweet Peas thanks to suggestions from many of my blog followers and they are sending out a special care package to Baby Sean! Do check out their website as it is an amazing resource for families of babies and children in intensive care as well as those dealing with the loss of a child.
Finally, keep an eye on my blog on Sunday the 15th! We have a very special fundraiser complete with some prizes. This will be the last fundraiser for Baby Sean so please check out the post and share it you feel compelled!
Blessings to you all and enjoy some very sweet photos!

Wonderful news! How lucky he his to have so much love in his family!
These are the precious moments that we need to capture. It’s also my dream to have some Perth baby photographers on my delivery date so that those meaningful firsts would be captured.
