We are all friends here so I can be open and honest about my hair styling routine right?
Ok, good. Glad you won’t get all judgmental on me.
I pretty much wash it every 2-3 days (with one of my homemade shampoos or just baking soda and apple cider vinegar) then let it air dry in warm weather or I blow dry it in cold weather. And then, it just sits there.
My hair is curlyish. If I want it to look nice, I need to put some effort into it. But honestly, I don’t really care what it does most of the time. It pretty much just hangs out, occasionally finding itself pulled into a loose ponytail.
I sort of have guilt about pulling my hair back. Rubber bands and scrunchies put a lot of stress on your scalp, hair, and even face so I prefer not to use these that often. I also hate using these same items on my daughter’s hair. Plus, she is not a fan of sitting still for hairstyling anyway!
I had seen the Lilla Rose product line in various reviews on blogs I follow but I never gave it a fair shake. I figured it was just another MLM. However, my friend Adrienne from Whole New Mom asked if I was open to trying a clip, commenting that it would really look nice in my thick, gorgeous hair. (I got a good laugh over that. If only she saw my everyday hair. Yeah – so not gorgeous).
Anyway, I decided what the heck and Adrienne sent off a sweet little turtle Flexi Clip.
Lilla Rose has been in the hair product business since 1992. The Lilla Rose product line centers around unique, functional, and well-made hair jewelry. From their flagship Flexi Hair Clip, they have expanded to Hair Sticks, Orings, Hairbands, and Bobby Pins. From there they rounded the line out with complimentarily designed You-Pins, and Badge Holders as well. A wide variety of products are available for all ages!

Lilla Rose clips are so easy to use, and you can use them in a multitude of styles. You simply put your hair in place with one hand, and fasten the clip with the other. I thought that maybe there would be a learning curve, but there really wasn’t. My biggest obstacle was wrangling the clip from Tiny. She likes to confiscate anything that comes in the mail!
Unlike other clips I have tried in the past, the Lilla Rose clips really do stay put. My hair did not slip out at all. More importantly, I didn’t have that tender scalp feeling at the end of the day that is too common when I pull my hair back with a scrunchie.
The Flexi Clip worked well on Tiny too! In fact, I thought it was actually better suited for her. (Not a fault of the clip but I think I ordered one size too small). It stayed in all day and Tiny wasn’t messing with it all day. This is saying a lot!
I will actually be ordering a clip for myself in a larger size. While the medium size did work, I just felt like one size up would work better! (Before deciding what size you want, be sure to watch this quick sizing video.)
I am certainly a convert. No more scrunchies for this mama! Plus, it is nice to look somewhat put together every once in a while!

The Flexi-Clip is a great idea. And the headbands are quite elegant.
So many pretty designs. I think my favorite of the flexis is the Celtic Knot. Would probably be my go to for daily wear.
